I’m a broker for Corcoran Connect. I cover the Harmony, FL area but also represent Saint Cloud, Lake Nona, Davenport, and Orlando, FL. The majority of my siblings are entrepreneurs. My sister Barbara Corcoran is on the "Shark Tank". I never look at her as my competitor, but I admire her for how much she has accomplished. It just gives me drive just to see someone I love in the family that was able to make it from nothing to something. Prior to real estate, I worked in a restaurant. And I started off as a hostess. I went from hostess to serving, and then I went to floor manager. And I loved that job. I mean, my three children growing up, I tried to get them all to work in a restaurant at some point in their life because I think everyone should. It is the most enjoyable job. I think it was fun because people come to the restaurant and they're happy. I carried that into real estate. It's similar in the fact that every customer you meet, they're on a journey to purchase or sell, and it's a big transaction for them. It's not eating in a restaurant and serving food, but the result is the same. As long as they receive good service and you're there to guide them, they get the same result, and they're happy in the end. I met my husband about seven years ago and we've been married five. And I know being married to someone who 110% supports you is a wonderful thing. Bill is licensed for a few years now, and it's great because he offers great support. We balance off each other. I'm absolutely competitive overall. There's a lot of pressure in real estate, and then being the owner of a company puts more pressure on you. We have two offices, one in Saint Cloud and one in Mount Dora and I always want all of my agents to be as successful as I am. When I go to a closing, whether they're a seller or a buyer, and they're happy, that makes me happy. And when they say to me, you know, "You changed our life. You were wonderful, and we're glad you were a part of it," and that's what I want to hear. I just really believe that if you're helping people, you know, you're being kind and you're making a difference in people's lives, the rest just follows.
